Steps:
1. Downloaded the HP Universal Printing PCL 6 driver
- Navigated to the official HP website or used a provided installer package: upd-pcl6-x64-7.6.0.26178.
2. Extracted and opened the driver folder
- Located the folder in Downloads > upd-pcl6-x64-7.6.0.26178.
3. Launched the installation process
- Double-clicked the Install.exe application (385 KB) to start the HP Universal Printing Installer.
4. Selected installation mode
- Chose "Traditional Mode", which creates a fixed printer object in the system. Clicked Next and completed the installation.
5. Opened the ‘Devices and Printers’ settings
- Used Windows Search or Control Panel to access the printer settings.
6. Added the printer via Windows settings
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, clicked “Add a printer or scanner”, and selected the printer from the list. The printer was detected via Wi-Fi network, so no manual IP entry was needed.
7. Set the installed printer as default
- Right-clicked on the installed printer and selected “Set as default printer”.
8. Tested the connection
- Successfully printed a test page to confirm the printer was working correctly.
